NewsMy Morning Jacket man to join M Ward on US late-night TVMy Morning Jacket frontman Jim James and Neko Case will join M Ward for a performance tonight (May 17) on American television show 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien'. Case, who sang on Ward's recent version of Daniel Johnston's 'To Go Home', will also appear on the New Pornographers' forthcoming album, 'Challengers', due out August 21. Case is set to perform at Washington's Sasquatch! Festival on May 26, and will support Rufus Wainwright on several dates in August, as previously announced. My Morning Jacket are scheduled to perform with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Lollapalooza Festival, which takes place August 3-5 in Chicago, Illinois. Ward is about to embark on US tours with Norah Jones and the Boston Pops, which run through the month of June. The Gossip provide Glastonbury 2007 with fitting climax The Gossip have brought Glastonbury to a suitable climax tonight (June 24) with the closing performance of 2007 on the John Peel Stage Packing out the tent, Beth Ditto put in a star turn to rival Shirley Bassey's Pyramid Stage turn earlier this afternoon. With the singer commanding the stage, and the crowd's attention, 'Listen Up' had festival goers dancing in the mud for one last time. However, as predicted, it was a storming version of the band's signature tune 'Standing In The Way Of Control' that provided Glastonbury with a worthy climax. To relive the festival go to NME.COM/festivals/glastonbury now. |
